I don't like that there's not a permanent scroll bar in the new Safari. Can I change a setting to get one? If so, how can I do that? It's really annoying that it doesn't want to show up on some websites. I like the other way better. Maybe it's an option on the Macbook Pro??

Just updated/upgraded my Macbook to Mavericks and newer Safari and hated that scroll down disappeared quicker than a snow leopard in the wild. Thanks Linc Davis for the easy, quick answer.
But wait. Unfortunately the scroll bar is there but its all opaque if the mouse does not go near it. Im guessing that cant be changed? I want to reeeelly see that MF!
Okay, it's better with some display adjustments but would be nice to have the ability to change the opacity of the scroll bar if it was so desired!

I have Mac 10.6.8 and there is not even a "General" listing under System Preferences. I've looked under every category I can think of (most likely: Personal, and then Appearance...) but I can't find any option for "showing the scroll bar always."

This has been driving me crazy for months! Linc fixed my problem!!!
My Safari scroll bar is there, but invisible. if I click where the scroll bar should be, it does scroll, but I can't see the slider.
Rebooting fixed this, once only. I can't figure it out. Firefox is working fine.
My System Preferences are set to "Always" show scroll bars. And I tried using older copies of Safari from backup, and they had the same problem.
