I have an iPhone4 can anyone tell me why its not working it worked at like 7-9 this morning and stopped around like 11 on August,24,2012
I've tried reseting my phone and signing out and into iMessage its just not working for me it keeps doing the sending failed I can send pics via text though.

I had tried sending pictures to my daughter's email address by iMessage rather than phone number. They sent, but because she only has one iMessage address on her phone, they ended up at her computer only.
Just to check, the dead conversation thread that photos try to send by won't send anything. If I enter a text message into the same thread, it also fails to send. No idea what phone number or email address this is trying to send to. If I message from contacts, there are two options - phone number and email. By iMessage has three conversations - phone, email, and the stupid dead one that photos want to send by.
Here's the really crazy thing... I get home, and the dozen failed attempts to send those photos all ended up on my wife's iPad, but were shown as not delivered on my iPhone and didn't show up on her iPhone. But they were ALL on her iPad.
So rebooting my wife's iPhone solved this problem. I can now send pictures to her via iMessage.
I'm having the same problem except it's with my iPad mini. I can send text but not pix or video
Same exact problem for me. My iPad mini, iOS 7.1.1, I can send pictures to all but one contact (which happens to be my WIFE). Everything else is fine.
My iMessage will send texts but not pictures
