Question

Ipod Restarts When watchingMovie

Trying to watch movie on ipod which I have converted to mp4. Previews in itunes fine. Have smaller song clips that I can view through ipod also.

But when I play this movie in Ipod, Ipod restarts (to the apple logo).

Pls help

Try a reset...

Also, is everything up to date?

You may also want to try a restore...

Hi, Firmware is up to date along with itunes. Other short music clips are ok. I don't want to try to restore it yet cause everything else is fine.

The movie is mp4. Itunes can play it ok so that should mean ipod should also. Ipod stores the movie on there ok so it must be the correct extension.

Any other suggestions?

Would the resolution be too big for ipod to drive?

Try right clicking the video in iTunes and go to convert selection for iPod. Does iTunes convert it?

It says it can't convert because it is already in the correct format

Okay.

The video is in the right format. If that is the only video with problems though, it is most likely the video file. Is there any way you can reconvert it or get another copy of the file?

I guess i'll have to reconvert it. I also made a very low res conversion and took about 30 seconds of it instead of waiting for the whole movie and it is still the same.
