Xcode Install on 10.3.9

Question

Xcode Install on 10.3.9

I use my Mac for image processing but my wife is doing a degree in math and is starting to use my G5 for assignments utilizing the C++ in the Xcode developer. I've got a G4 15" with a 10.3.9 on it. I'd like to get her using this machine so I can get back to work on my G5. I've searched my disks and I don't see the Xcode install disk. Is this something that can be downloaded someplace? If I sound a little bit dumb regarding this is becasue I am. Any help appreciated.

I believe you are better off not finding the install disk. You need to visit the Apple Developer Connection at developer.apple.com, register there (which you can do for free) and download the latest version of XCode for Panther, which is 1.5, in the Developer Tools section.

Beware that the 2.x release of XCode is for Tiger/10.4.

You will have to find your install CD, because you don't have X 10.4.
Either see if it's not on the restore disk?
Either try to run the installer and see if you can do a custom install
But it's somewhere on your install disks for sure.
