Looking at used 20' G5

I'm looking at purchasing a used iMac 20' G5 (not intel). Are there any known defects with this run that I should ask about? Also, is it possible to purchase AppleCare on a used machine?

Thanks for your help.

You can add AppleCare to an iMac G5 within its first year, regardless how many owners there have been. To check on the date for a particular machine, enter the serial number in the "About Your Support Coverage" box on the main Support page. Even if it's not your computer yet, the info is available there - a good way to find out if it's already got AppleCare but the owner forgot about it.

The second link beneath that input box - "Support Coverage Help & Information" - leads to another link you can use: "Update your purchase date"

The phrase "estimated records" seems to indicate they don't know at all when it left the inventory of the selling dealer - a perfect opportunity for you to provide your information and get it corrected.
