Apps suddenly don't update

Try download the apps on your computer via iTunes then sync your new iPad.

Try and update your apps via iTune (computer)

Try this:

Go to Settings > General > Date & Time and change the date to a few months in the future and then re-try.

Thanks for posting this! I've been having the same problem. I contacted iTunes customer support and all I got were links to various websites..basically to look for my own solution to my problem. It was no help at all.

I had this problem with my son's iPod. My wife & I have phone, tablets, all of which sync normally (and often-ish). Our son syncs rarely & found he couldn't sync ("Cannot connect to iTunes Store" error message). Setting the calendar from Sept 4 (today) to Dec 4 suddenly fixed the problem.

Any idea of why this trick fixes the problem?

Any idea whether our son's infrequent "sync"ing contributes to the bug?

Also, perhaps of relevance, his iPod was set to automatically update date & time in Settings > General > Date & Time.

Just experienced the same problem (trying to update gave "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" even though I can browse or download from the store). Turned off setting date and time automatically, and set date to 2 months in the future. All 7 updates installed correctly, but I'm having trouble with Apple's iBooks update - no big loss there - I'll probably delete this app.

Thanks for all the help, but after I asked apple for help the problem is suddenly resolved. A programming issue in the iTunes store is my guess.

I just posted the same problem and saw this thread after posting, work around also worked for me too, had to change the date to 2 months ahead. Thanx for the help!!
