How can I get IFO, BUP and VOB files to play on my iPad

Question

I have a DVD of my vacation that a friend made using iMovie. But I can't get it to load on my iPad to play. Any idea how to do this cheaply?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.4), 4 Macs networked with airport express

You don't.

Those are DVD format files and are not playable on any ios devices.

You will have to use handbrake to convert the video on the dvd to a compatible format.
