iTunes match not connecting

I keep getting the below issue when trying to update itunes match:


we could not complete your itunes store request. The network connection was lost. There was an error in the itunes store. please try again later


it is so frustrating! I've turned itunes match off and when I tried to turn it back on I get the same message again.


Anyone any ideas on how to fix this? It's been doing it for the past 6 hours

Still not working in Romania. I just purchased a subscription 2 days ago, and this has been killing me. It is a known fact that apple software runs like S*** on windows, but this gets the cake.



Right now, I have no error messages, but I am stuck on Song 709 out of 749 for the last 30 minutes on Step 2 and I am afraid to stop it because it is the farthest I've gotten ever since I purchased iTunes Match.




P.S. For those saying it is not available in Romania, I am registered with a U.S. account and a valid U.S. credit card. I can purchase U.S. AppStore apps and Music.

Finally working again in Atlanta, GA USA. Defintiely was a problem on Apple's end as I didn't have to change anything. I did contact iTunes Support and their response covered turning iTunes Match off and back on, re-installing itunes, etc with the final option being to wait but they were not aware of any known issues with the iTunes Match service being down or disrupted. I simply chose the waiting option.
