Aug 31, 2012 2:11 PM in response to cshwolf79by CWN2609,Same problem here except I'm on a new iMac. I haven't been able to connect to match for the last two days. first it rejected my password...which it shoudn't have. Then after it accepted the password the connection was failed. The prompt said an error occurred in the iTunes store, please try again...so I did...and again, it didn't work.

Aug 31, 2012 2:31 PM in response to cshwolf79by ry n j,I'm having the same problem over the same time period. iTunes Match had worked great for me until this. The only thing that I can add to this discussion is that I downloaded all of my purchased music from my two different iTunes accounts and then attempted to update iTunes Match. That was when I received the above described message and have received it ever since. Sounds like downloading those tracks may not have caused the problem after all... I am not having any other issues with my network.

Aug 31, 2012 5:41 PM in response to cshwolf79by ggallotti,Reinstalled iTunes and now seems to be working.
I was not with the last iTunes version also. May be Apple took out a minor update.

Sep 1, 2012 3:04 AM in response to cshwolf79by David Sweet,I, too, am having this issue. Started two days ago when attempting to add music to my iCloud account. Have logged out and then back into my account but iTunes gets stuck sending data to Apple. Not happy when something I pay for doesn't work.

Sep 1, 2012 4:24 AM in response to cshwolf79by Bjoe,Same here. Tried different network connections, different DNS, relogged in into iTunes, re-installed iTunes.
7 out of 10 attempts failed sending information to Apple. 3 went through but the procees broke up by upload songs&covers to Apple. iTunes Match reminds me to Mobileme

Sep 1, 2012 8:12 AM in response to cshwolf79by tschniddy,Same here. Get's stuck and responds with, "lost contact with iTunes store there was an error". Try again. And I can't seem to figure a manual way of adding to a playlist without it having to go through iTunes Match. Any ideas?

Sep 1, 2012 8:58 AM in response to tschniddyby Bjoe,With failed iTunes Match you can work locally with playlists. Those are not being synced to other devices.
I don't expect a solution this weekend (Labor Day). Give yourself a rest and stop trying to solve a problem that is caused on Apples servers not on your side. I just gave this advise to myself. It feels just a little bit better now
