uninstall xcode and have it deleted in the app store

I have a version of Xcode 4.3 that was downloaded from the app store under anothers account. I want to delete that version and install my own version from the app store. However, every time I try to delete this Xcode, it still shows up in the app store under the other account. How do I uninstall Xcode 4.3 (using Lion), have that version be deleteed from my app store application, reinstall a version under my app store account?

FYI. I have tried the uninstall through a shell, but it does not find the uninstaller, and I undestand that Xcode 4.3 does not have one.

That the other account still shows Xcode attached to it is normal. Deleting an application from the system does not remove the fact that that Apple ID bought the application. If that was the case anytime you lost an app from your disk you would have to repurchase it.

I don;t believe there is a way to actually remove an app you bought from the App Store from the App Store. I may be wrong but I have never found a way to do it and I would love to know if it was possible.

You might want to ask over in the App Store list.

So the resolution was a combination of all of the suggestions; 1) Delete the application by dragging the application to the trash from the APPLICATIONS folder, 2) Sign in to my App store account, 3) Reboot, 4) Download application 4.4 and install, 5) Delete that application in the same manner (it does not run under Lion on a Retina display), 6) Download Xcode 4.3 and install. At this point, the old version of Xcode disappeared from my App store application, and Xcode started working as before. I will note that most earlier posts in other forums that suggested using an uninstaller did not work. Xcode has changed in the version I had and now have. As it is now all is working. Quite a few steps, but I eventually had success. Thanks to all.
