Deleting or losing a contact doesn't mean it is gone forever. If you haven't yet synchronized your computer and your iPhone, use iTunes. If you have synchronized your devices, use your most current backup or archive.

The steps of directly scan and recover contacts from iPhone:

a) Connect your iPhone to the computer

b) Enter DFU mode and scan iPhone

Why not backup in iTunes and iCloud? If you make backup in iTunes, you can easily find your deleted contacts back from your iTunes. But when you have no backup data of contacts, you really should try other ways to restore deleted contacts from iPhone with some apps.

Why should i have to buy a 3rd party app just to keep my contacts you can't even export them to the sim card on the 4s and i love apple ?????? making me wonder now

You can't export them to a SIM card because the format supported on SIM cards would lose 90% of the contents of each contact. The SIM contact format is only name and two phone numbers. But you don't have to buy any crapware either like the dreck that this thread has been spammed with. There are lots of ways to save and sync contacts using iTunes, iCloud, Google contacts, MS Exchange, MS Outlook, Apple Address book, Windows Address book, etc.

Here are two easy methods to restore deleted Iphone 4s contacts from iPhone:

One. Recover contacts from iPhone via iTune:

1. Connect your iPhone with iTune on computer

2. Right-click or control-click on the iPhone icon under iDevice on iTunes

3. Select "Restore from Backup" from the given options

4. After it finishs, your contacts are back to your iPhone

Important Note: This works only if you have made a backup for your contacts on iTunes.

Two. Retrieve contacts from iPhone by using third party iPhone contact recovery software

If you have no backup for your contacts, you can download iPhone data recovery software in order to overcome the problem and restore iPhone contacts loss. Still you have not recovered lost contact from iPhone, some on-line applications also available which can be helpful in restoring precious contact details, probably will be able to find the solution to some extent.

I lost my contacts last week, and I did not know what to do. So I asked my friend for help. He told me though I had not backup before in iTunes, I still could get my contacts back from iPhone directly. But I have to use some recovery tool.

I have spent the better part of this day trying to restore my contacts after a botched back-up to I-tunes. Then after restoring my phone only to find everything MIA. Thank you a million times for posting this.I dont know how you came up with this fix, but it work brilliantly!

You can dp it by going to your icloud account on ur iphone through settings.
