Can Apple repair a cracked logo light on a 2011 15-inch Macbook pro?

I discovered a crack in the Apple logo on the lid of my 15-inch late 2011 Macbook Pro today. It's not too serious, but I'd like to get it fixed if possible.

Also, if anyone knows about how much a repair would cost that info would be great too. I'm guessing this kind of thing isn't covered under Apple Care.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Only Apple can tell you. Rarely are cracks ever covered, because warranties in general do not cover accidents, and it is very hard to prove a crack was not caused by an accident. Since we can't discuss policy beyond what the warranty says up front, I suggest brining it in and finding if it is worth replacing. An external display is possible on all Apple's current notebooks. That may be cheaper for the short run until you can afford a replacement machine.
