I receive an error Ipod touch 4 needs to cool down before use but I'm in am in my apartment with the air conditioner on, why would it say this? Before the error I had plug in the ear phones, and they are apple ones for the ipod. The Ipod was not even hot or warm to the touch. Is anyone else having this issue and if so do you have any suggestions?

Did you already try to set it up as new device again?
Are you asking if I set it back to factory settings? If so yes I did that yesterday morning and it has been fine until that error today. I don't under stand why it would say it was hot, when I am in house where it is very cool and it had only been on about 15 minutes.
How would resetting the ipod help with the error?

You can try the reset first, but if this does not help, try to set it up as new device, if you don't use the latest backup afterwards, you could be sure, that the problem is not software related, if it should come back.
