i recently purchased an ipad 2 from walmart, the apple store was sold out, assuming it was an apple refurbished product with the new battery and same one year warranty but before it arrives and i open it if the warranty does not apply i will return it.
I don't believe Walmart sells refurbished iPads, but the warranty will still be 90 days phone support, 1 year limited warranty either way.
i just boght it online last night refurbished, I cant seem to find the answer anywhere. phone support? its an ipad
Phone support, as in dial 1-800-APL-CARE with whatever phone you want to use and the technician on the other end will try to help you with your iPad problem.
I would check with Walmart, but they are an official dealer so I would be very surprised if it was not the same warranty Apple offers on their refurbished products, which is identical to the new ones.

As far as I know, the only "official" refurbished seller of Apple products with an Apple warranty is Apple (in the Apple store refurb section); there are lots of authoirzed resellers who also sell some refurbished products - those are usually returns or whatever and each store can institute their own rules. There is one in the area here for instance who offers a 90 day warranty on refurb products (they are also an AASP, so the products are fixed by their repair department), but the products are generally not refurbished by Apple and carry no Apple warranty.

If I hadn't been so lazy on Labor Day this was easy to find, it was on the same page on their website that you order it from.
Thanks for checking the Walmart site - I knew it from an exchange with Apple some time ago when I did a live chat with their store and another exchange with the authorized reseller here before purchasing my first refurb product - the gist of which was: you only get an Apple warranty on a refurb product if you buy it from Apple.
