Mail Connections Lost After Sleep (Ports Fail)

I am having the problem that others are having regarding Mail reconnecting after sleep. Typically, it fails to connect to my Company IMAP server, and the IMAP Gmail server (but connects to the Gmail SMTP server). It looks like this in Connection Doctor:

I have done the following already:

1. Deleted and reinstalled the accounts

2. Reinstalled Mountain Lion from network

3. Reset my SMC

I have searched for any firewall that would mess it up, but have come up with nothing. Here is the readout from Terminal:

ls: /Library/InputManagers: No such file or directory

ls: /Library/Mail/Bundles: No such file or directory

ls: /Users/KyleEssary/Library/Mail/Bundles: No such file or directory

/Library/LaunchAgents:

com.Cvnt.start.plist

com.amazon.sendtokindle.launcher.plist

/Library/LaunchDaemons:

com.Cvnt.daemon.plist

com.adobe.fpsaud.plist

/Library/StartupItems:

/Users/KyleEssary/Library/LaunchAgents:

com.apple.AddressBook.ScheduledSync.PHXCardDAVSource.DB72A0D3-A7F5-42AA-B8C0-B9F DD21F52AE.plist

The CVnt plist is from an app that I added long after I noticed this problem. The problem was the same before and after installing that app.

Whenever I run the Network Utility following a wake from sleep on typical ports, I get this:

Whatever the issue may be, it apparently starts on sleep because Power Nap has yet to work. I have had this issue since installing Mountain Lion and would appreciate any help.

It's not 10.8.2 that did the trick, but the supplemental update to it (at least that's what I think, using not so watertight "post hoc, ergo propter hoc" reasoning):

or

No, I don't use NAV. The reason I think the supplemental update had something to do with it is because after applying the update mail started and needed to reimport its messages (which went amazingly fast btw, given the number of mails I have in my imap accounts). It cannot just have been google that fixed something, because my work imap account was also affected, and also back to normal now.

Guido...then I would say that between the two of us, we have eliminated both the 10.8.2 Supplemental update and the NAV update as the fix. I have now just run the Supplemental update, and I see what you mean...obviously the update did something to Mail.

My bet at this point is that the problem was on Google's end, and that they fixed it a couple of days ago.

Well, the exact same thing is still happening to me!

After coming back from sleep, Mail stops fetching data. Only way to fix is restarting. And this only after I've updated to Mountain Lion.

Interestingly enough, I have Tweetbot installed, and the same thing happens to it. It stops fetching tweets, and I have to restart it. So I'm pretty sure that whatever the problem is, it's not with Mail.app.

HI, add me to the list of currently suffering mac mail on wake issue.

After compter (Macbook 2.7 core i7, 10.8.2) sleeps, mail will no longer connect and retrieve messages, unless I quit (sometimes have to force quit) and restart app. In some cases I have to restart computer.

This happens whether the computer i spulgged in (power nap) or not.

I want to add that during labour day, power nap was working fine. And only since then has it stopped working.

I'm very courious if power nap is working for anybody?

another frustrated user here too...I am experiencing the same problem on both my MBPro and MBAir...both running 10.8.2. The issues started about a week ago when I updated the MBPro to ML and then the next day I bought a new MBAir and it too has the same problems. Both computers are running differnt Apple ID's and different mail accounts but are experiencing the same problem. Both can be fixed each time by quitting Mail and reopening but what a nuisance that is! I have Drop Box on my MBPro but not on the MBAir so i am not sure that is the resolution...I hope this is something at the Apple end and they initiate a fix...unless someone has come up with something in the meantime? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Here is a screen shot of my what greets me each time I open my computer:
