I had installed PES 2012 on Lion OS. It was working perfectly fine. When I updated to Mountain Lion, the gameplay doesn't come and the application shuts itself automatically( Just the menu to select which game to play appears, before the game starts I'm directed to the desktop and the application closes itself.

No I did not since after the OS update only it refrained from working. 😟
Same here. I think there's an issue with 3D rendering display. When you try to load any kind of gameplay that requires showing a character, it crashes.
Darn you, Mountain Lion.
UPDATE:
- I have tried Repair Permissions (Command-R right after pressing power button, then Repair Disk, then Verify/Repair Disk Permissions) with no luck.
- Also tried to reset the PRAM/NVRAM (Command-Option-P-R simultaneously right after pressing power button).
- Tried SMC Reset (Command-Option-Shift simultaneously right after pressing power button).
I'm guessing it is something to do with the video card driver compatibility. Mountain Lion must have updated it to a version with bugs. Have no idea how to test this with another tool.
Why don't you contact the vendor?

Either way, the issue was brought up after upgrading to Mountain Lion. The vendor might be reading this, because Apple is ML creator. 🙂

BTW, this is an Apple Forum, and Mountain Lion is their newest OS. I've seen many Apple Engineers on this forum replying to all sorts of things. Why wouldn't them check this particular issue? After all, they're the 50% of the problem.

It seems that automatic graphic switching would set Intel HD Graphics 4000 for better battery life. In this article you'll find out which graphics are on right now on your MBP (my case): http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4152

I have the same problem with my macbook 2Ghz 4Gb Ram late 2008. But on my iMAc the same game function normaly. Early 2009 2Ghz 4Gb Ram.
