I have set up a credit card on my account and have now had an Itunes voucher which I have redeemed so I have £15 credit but how do I use the voucher credit to pay for items? They ppear to automatically go against my card for payment.

Does you account show the credit? The following says the credit will be used before using the credit card.

What makes you think your card is being charged?
well i have this exact same problem. and 'what makes me think' it is being charged to my card? well my card statement. good enough?
