If you are trying to create a folder in a location that you do not have "write" access to, then you will have to provide an admin account password to allow the change. The question is, why don't you have write access to the location(s) you're trying to create a folder? Note that there are some locations that you should not have write access to, so if you can provide more information about where you're creating these folders, we can provide more insightful answers.

i have a shortcut to my main hard drive folder on my desktop (mac HD) and every time i try to create a new folder i get a massage asking for a password (like you can see in the pic above)

i am the only user of this computer, but i don't know if i have an administrator premission (if there is such a thing like that....)

Hello,

This is a normal behavior of OS X 10.8

The root folder has read only permissions by default, which is why the Mac prompts you for an administrator password. If you right click on the Macintosh HD icon and go to the "get info" window, you can change the default permissions of the folder.

You may also view the permissions of any folder or file by looking at "Sharing and Permissions", inside the "get info" window

Hope this is helpful

But where are you creating the folder? On your desktop? At the root level of your hard drive? Somewhere else on the hard drive?

Note that, as m_fichera says, the root level of the hard drive containing the system is not meant to be modified by the user, and you should not put folders there without an extremely specific reason. Also, although you can change the permissions for any given folder using the Sharing & Permissions section of the "Get Info" window, as he suggests, this is an extremely bad idea for any folder created by the system. If you don't know exactly what you're doing, that can easily render your system unable to boot or your user unable to log in.
