Why does Facebook website (not app) crash in Safari?

This happens whenever there is a live streaming video on your feed. It's a bug that Apple has yet to fix, if they've even identified it. The only constant I experience whenever this crash occurs is the invariable presence of an auto-playing live stream. Safari simply can't handle it.

I have just started having this problem a few days ago. Safari crashes when browsing Facebook. Tried resetting to no avail. I hadnt got any recent changes to my Ipad 3 . I dont have more than 2 or 3 tasks running at the same time. The only other difference I've noticed recently is my screen brightness suddenly jumping up. Any ideas welcomed. ( I havent downloaded the Facebook App as I used to using browser as I do on my Pc)

Hi, i have the exact same problem since yesterday (after install iOS 6). I did a System restore today and nothing happened, all the websites work except for facebook, seems like a problem with cookies or something (if you erase the cache then fb starts to work again, but just for a while). The facebook app works perfectly, just as the new integration.

By the way iCabMobile has the same problem, the only browser that works with facebook, for the moment at least, is iLunascape.

I have this exact problem also. I have an ipad1. It crashes using safari, no facebook app. And yes it does seem to be when it is trying to load pictures/ graphics. It started for me about a week or so ago. I can immediately get right back to where I was but it is annoying and definitely different than it was before. I did not knowingly install any new changes. I would say it is not related to ipad3 then.

Oh, and I'm mostly using my 3G, out here in the boonies. I think it also crashed yesterday when on wifi but can't totally confirm that.

I am having the same issue. To the best of my knowledge it seems to have started around the 1st of September. I am using the first generation iPad. I have followed all the suggestions (clearing cache, closing unused apps, resetting, etc.). I am still experiencing force close on FB website only. Anyone found a solution yet?

Have done all the same. I also have first generation iPad. Running IOS 5 still. Thought might be the app. But this has not been the case. I started Safari and still blows you off. Also tried Chrome and it still crashed. Anyone help? Don't know when stated but the wife says early September .

Also seems to happen when you go to a friends page and browse down the page. When working on my wifes own page and browsing down the page I have not been able to make it crash. Just a little more info.

My experience is pretty much identical to the above posts. I am running iPad 1 and recently upgraded to 5.1.1 thinking that would fix the fb crashes. It didn't.

Wainting for a fix.
