Why does Facebook website (not app) crash in Safari?

Anyone else having a problem with FaceBook crashing...and no other websites? I do not have the FB app, I log in directly via Safari (latest update) and within a few minutes, FaceBook crashes....and keeps crashing even after a re-boot. This does not happen on any other website and I have no problems with Safari, Mail, iBook etc. or any apps.. I have the 3rd gen iPad, wifi, 4G *ha!* ...only a few weeks old...use to have an iPad 2 that ran perfectly. Have contacted Apple several times and they said to keep rebooting, reboot the wifi (which is FINE) and seem to be at a loss to fix this bug, which, obviously is a Safari issue since the crashes only happen on FaceBook..again, logged in directly to the website, not via the app. Apple wants me to do a total restore, but I'm dubious. Feedback appreciated!

I have just started having this problem a few days ago. Safari crashes when browsing Facebook. Tried resetting to no avail. I hadnt got any recent changes to my Ipad 3 . I dont have more than 2 or 3 tasks running at the same time. The only other difference I've noticed recently is my screen brightness suddenly jumping up. Any ideas welcomed. ( I havent downloaded the Facebook App as I used to using browser as I do on my Pc)

Hi, i have the exact same problem since yesterday (after install iOS 6). I did a System restore today and nothing happened, all the websites work except for facebook, seems like a problem with cookies or something (if you erase the cache then fb starts to work again, but just for a while). The facebook app works perfectly, just as the new integration.

By the way iCabMobile has the same problem, the only browser that works with facebook, for the moment at least, is iLunascape.

Can't really comment on this since I have not downloaded the new OS...so we are not really talking about the same thing. All I know is my first iPad, the iPad2, purchased 9 months ago and then stolen in June, worked perfectly. Then I got the iPad 4G with the 5.1.1 OS a month ago, and FB crashes all the time. So....back to the drawing board! I think I will wait until I download the new OS 6...

But thanks!

I have this exact problem also. I have an ipad1. It crashes using safari, no facebook app. And yes it does seem to be when it is trying to load pictures/ graphics. It started for me about a week or so ago. I can immediately get right back to where I was but it is annoying and definitely different than it was before. I did not knowingly install any new changes. I would say it is not related to ipad3 then.

I'm waiting to hear back from my assigned Apple case worker about all this. I mentioned that I posted in the discussion group and heard back from a couple of people with the same problem....I have not heard from him since Thursday. I think he might be dragging his feet because I am still under warranty and he keeps bugging me about buying Apple Care....

Stay tuned!

I am having the same issue. To the best of my knowledge it seems to have started around the 1st of September. I am using the first generation iPad. I have followed all the suggestions (clearing cache, closing unused apps, resetting, etc.). I am still experiencing force close on FB website only. Anyone found a solution yet?
