iPod Touch keeps autocorrecting "Kev" to "keV"

I have an iPod Touch, 2nd Generation. I often sign my emails with "Kev" and I'm tired of always having to hit the little "x" to not have it autocorrect my name to "keV" (which apparently is the abbreviation for "kiloelectron volt").

I've tried adding "Kev" to my own custom user dictionary per a suggestion I found online, by adding an additional international keyboard, but that doesn't work. I also tried typing my name a bunch of times in a row, clicking the little "x" each time, in hopes that it would eventually learn my preference. I think that may work with newer iPods and iPhones but it didn't do anything on mine.

I've resigned myself to not being able to fix this but if anyone has an idea I'd love to hear it.

Thanks,

Kev
