Compatible processors mac pro mid 2010

Hello again,

I would like to know if the above processor is compatible with the Mac Pro mid 2010 model since i think that the westmere 3.33 model is too expensive, i was after another cost-benefit solution that would still get me a six core processor boost.

Xeon Six Core E5649

Ant suggestions and comments, please feel free.. im new to the mac hardware world, but have great knowledge on PC hardware assembly.

How do you find the GTX 670? Was it just an off the shelf stock EVGA card?

How about buying the chip from US and shipping?

I bought the mac with the basic configuration and went updating it as time went by.

The EVGA card I bought from a friend at a relatively low price and i gave me a HUGE boost in performance from the original 5770 1GB card.

That IS a good idea.. but in Brazil, taxes are incredibly high and i believe that even buying abroad would make the chip more expensive.... but i will try to find it on ebay though..

So basically I could only use the W3680 since my mac pro has only 1 processor, right? as it was mentioned before that the 5000 series was just for mac pros with 2 processors...
