I am NOT a happy camper, Apple - can't get email once again because iCloud Mail is down. Again.
Fix it. Get it right. When I read that it affects only a "small number" of users that means nothing. I'm ALWAYS ONE OF THOSE AFFECTED.
Sorry for the shouting - I haven't had my coffee yet.

still down in LA, no email all day, time to investigate a pro level email solution because it is certainly NOT apple or iCloud.
No access to my account all day. Add Utah to the list of locations without access.
This is Bull S*** yet another reason to ditch iCloud and go back to Gmail or Hotmail that works great!

I was thinking the same thing....9/11 hack possibly?? But I do remember funny things happening every time there is a new update or iPhone launch.
Also down here in West Sussex, UK, and has been all day. Aarrgghhh!
I am unable to retrieve my mail from either on-line or the local mail app, so this is a problem with the mail-host servers.
My email has been down since last night in Indiana. Not sure when it went down, but the last email I recieved was at 10:49pm EST.
12 hours down now here in Sydney...this is SOOOO frustrating.....Apple needs to at least advise when its likely to be fixed. This is totally unaceptable from Apple! Not happy Jan.
