White or Black iPhone 5

I was prepared to preorder the black iPhone but the white just kept calling my name! The silver back is what got me. It's like it's paying homage to the original iPhone. So I'm excited about getting the white one.

I literally just spit my drink out laughing! I'm a big political Tweeter, and Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow, and Andrea Mitchell make my head spin. If I could p*ss one of them off by choosing the white iPhone it would make my day. 😀

I would personally get the white iPhone 5. Why? Because everyone is getting the black iPhone 5 so you will stand out. Plus the white iPhone 5 has faster shipping times due to the high demand. Also having charcoal as the border the phone looks very tasteless. Gray aluminum is what will match your MacBook Pro and that's only on White iPhone 5. Plus you cant see as much smudges with white iPhone 5.

There's really no major difference other than taste. If you have a white one, people from far away will know its an iPhone due to the bright diamond-cut white flashy glass. If you get the black one, some people may mistake it for *gulp* Android.

I feel really bad for folks who already ordered a Black iPhone 5! 😢

Seriously I know I found this late, but get the White/ Silver iPhone 5.

I own it, just got it yesterday and it's amazing. The black one may chip if anything happens or if you have keys in your pocket and if the back scratches it will show silver because it's not raw illuminum. The white one is, and it looks cleaner. I am a male and it's okay if your a female because i know a girl that has a black one step sister.

So get the iPhone 5 because you will regret getting the black one later....

The black iphone 5 is easy to be scratched as white scratches stand out well in the dark colour go for the white one.

A) I'm not sure how you get white scratches on a black iPhone. B) It doesn't scratch all that easily. C) It's been discontinued.

One consideration might be how much it will be used as a GPS, mounted on the dash of your car.

Living in Arizona, mine will soak up a lot of sun and black phones tend to get really hot on the windshield.

White will reflect the sun and help keep it cooler.

Since the black iPhone is no longer sold and they posted this over a year ago I don't believe your reply is relevant.

Hi all.

I am on the verge of getting the 5S.

Don't want Gold, as a) everyone wants it but mostly b) looks too bling to me. So for me it's either the black or the white. I'd have a case on it, so the back of it doesn't matter.

I don't use mine for GPS.

It would be my first iPhone.

I like the white, as it would go well with all the screens as the have gone very pale.

But it also shows up the 'blackness' of the screen when off.

I like the black, because it's a bit more immersive, and doesn't show the thin black border on the screen.

But it also looks all black when it's off. Smart.

I hear that the black can scratch, or show scratches more if and when you get them. I've had other smart phones for years, and never had a scratch one.

So I wonder if anyone had a black or white, and they were happy, or otherwise?!
