I want to print directly to my new HP 6700. I bought it because it was promoted as an AirPrint ready Printer. I do not want to use a router. There is no internet or phone line where I will be printing. I want to print directly from my I phone 4S to this printer. Is this possible. Is there an APP for this?

I have a feeling that the printer and phone need to be on the same wireless network. You say you have no router so I guess you will not be able to do what you want. I don't think you need Internet, you just need a network and both devices need to be connected to it.
Yes, but how can you have a network with no internet... especially if one of the devices is an iphone. It's not like you can hook the phone into the wall and have it connect to a network. It needs to be connected to wifi and so does the printer.

Hunk you can have a LAN without having Internet. Your router provides wifi but no Internet access. Provided the printer is on the same LAN as the phone it should be fineI am sure. You just won't be able to access Internet.

This is very possible with an "Ad hoc" connection.
