Where are the "Reminders" reminders kept on Mac?

Where are the "Reminders" reminders kept on Mac?

Today I was going through the Reminders application on my Mac and decided to delete the default Reminders list and make some new ones. What I hadn't expected was for the "Completed" list, which has many dates and such that I like to refer to, to delete as well. Additionally, Reminders was set up through iCloud, so it seems that it's permenantly gone.

However, I have Time Machine backups of my computer, and I imagine that the Reminders must be stored on the computer because iCloud just does the syncing (right?). So I'm wondering if anyone knows where the Reminders are kept on the Mac because I could then restore the original Reminders list.

If you could help me, I would be eternally grateful to you! Thanks for any help in advance.

Unfortunately‚because I'm trying to recover a deleted list—as far as I can tell, they do *not* show up under the same folder name in the Time Machine:

I've identified the current reminder folder in the libarary, but unable to find the same sucker in any of my saved dates in Time Machine.

It's crazy that Apple doesn't have a specifically labled folder—it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. Just an awful experience.

They're stored in your username/Library/Calendars/ folder, as part of the calendar services for the various accounts you add in the system preferences. They're standard .ics calendar files, but are named by rather cryptic looking UUIDs so they will be rather difficult to identify in the Finder.

Thanks for the help! They were exactly where you said. I just navigated to the folder as you described and had to look through each one until the folder with the Reminders showed up. (Specifically, I had to go through the .caldav folder). I hope this helped the other person as well.

By the way, do you know how to make the Reminders show up again in the completed list? I tried copying them into the real Reminders folder on my Mac, but they don't appear in the actual app. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that they were orginally deleted. But either way, I can still see the dates.

I've tried going back to last friday morning with TimeMachine (today is tuesday), I've selected all files in ~/Library/Calendars and restored them back, overwriting everyfile now contained there but in the Reminder.app I do not see anything.

What else should I try?

Since I have Apple Care active I gave a phone call to (italian's) Apple Support.

The operator suggested me to try to recover from Time Machine the

/Users/$username/Library/Containers/com.apple.reminders

folder content. Unfortunately this doesn't have solved my issue. As a last resource to try he suggested me to make a full restore from my iPhone backup ... (I do mine on my Mac and not on iCloud).

Same sort of problem here... I deleted a reminder List by accident and would love to know where they are stored so that I might recover it via Time Machine... Anyone know?
