Pages - landscape/portrait

I need to have my first page as portrait and the rest in landscape. How do I switch for individual pages?

I have a feeling that you are joking. Nevertheless:

A long time ago we stopped communicating on rolled up scrolls (probably when the printing press came about).

Although the reinvention of the printing press in the form off the internet has allowed the rebirth of the scroll, we continue to use physical sheets of paper (funnily enough referred to as Pages!!!) as a medium to communicate thoughts. These were rectangular in design. I won’t go into all the reasons why they are rectangular but one jumps out as being particularly pertinent to this forum – communication often requires both the written word and images. The written word is normally most easily read when the page is in portrait and given that many images are wider then they are long the sheet of paper is turned on its side to avoid the image becoming too small to be comprehended.

This infernal tool does not allow one to communicate thoughts without first separating them and then using other tools to stitch them back together again. Page numbers, references, citations, tables of contents etc become almost impossible to create. It makes this tool about as useful as an F1 Racing car with square wheels. I’m sure there are uses for it but they seem to mostly consist of using it for spare parts.

Therefore Pages is a waste of money (mine and all those other contributors to Apples bank account), time (oh so much f'ing time), and effort. I dread to think how many bananas had to be shipped into to feed the monkeys who envisioned this garbage.
