polar h7 monitor not paring with iphone bluetooth

Sounds like you are shorting it out correctly. Try turning off the Bluetooth on the phone first. Then short, replace battery, then turn bluetooth on.

I am the same. Have tried the above and cannot get it to pair

Hello missfoxtrot I've also tried taking a metal paper clip and holding it to what I think is the main contact in the middle (the one that's raised and gets pressed down when the battery is enclosed), and what I think is the other contact which is a small metal piece on the side of the battery wall, I'm using iPhone 5 with the latest software update.

I tried about 15 times without any luck and then finally when I was about to give up I tried something different, I pressed a little bit more with the clip on the middle contact (the one that's raised) and voila it worked! You just need to press a little harder on that central contact.

So this happened to me because I had a dead battery and I changed batteries and it wouldn't pair to any iphone. Just don't give up because once it works it's a great heart rate monitor!

H7 heart rate sensor needs to be paired directly in the Polar Beat app.

I bought an H7 for my wife and was unable to pair it to the polar beat app. I tried all of the directions about removing the battery and discharging the H7 and nothing worked. I even unpaired my H7 from my phone and then was unable to pair it back again. Very frustrating.

After more searching on the web I saw guidance on how the H7 could be paired with beat before syncing the bluetooth connection on the phone. Although I didn't see how this could work I tried it anyway. It worked immediately. So I switched H7s and phones and paired the other as well. Now they are both working perfectly.

The sequence was:

iPhone>Settings>Bluetooth>Off

Polar Beat>Settings>HR Sensor>Pair

iPhone>Settings>Bluetooth>On then H7>Connect

The battery must be good and the H7 worn properly on the chest strap for this to work.

Also I has discharged the H7s prior to this so I don't know if that is necessary or not.

iPhone 5 with iOs 9.2.1

Polar H7 with Polar Beat app 1.5.2

My Polar H7 has worked perfectly for over a year, till the last IOS update. I changed the battery etc and it synchronizes with my Polar watch

I believe it is an IOS issue. Anyone else experiencing the same issue - Apple?

Did you ever get this resolved? I am having the same issue since the latest update.
