Just switched to iPhone and wondering how I can automatically backup my SMS and mms messages to Gmail. On Android, it's simple, just use SMS Backup+ or something similar. However, I can't find any app to do this in the AppStore. I dont want to have to jailbreak to do this, and I want to backup to Gmail, not iCloudor iTunes.
Any thoughts?

No, it's not possible. However, you could try the computer apps PhoneView (Mac) or TouchCopy (Mac & PC):

It wouldn't be automatic but you'd still have archived copies of your messages.
