Anyway, the Ballistic cases (at least the SG and the smooth) are available for pre order. I grabbed the SG, seems pretty decent.

What about the new Speck cases?

I like the rugged protective cases that will protect my phone from daily life and occasional drops. I’m OK with a slight bit of added bulk and a few extra ounces of weight. I’ve gone through four Otterbox Defender iPhone cases (3GS, 4, and 4S) and I’m through with them. The silicone outer layer only lasts 10-11 months as it slowly falls apart, loses its elasticity, tares, and won’t stay on the polycarbonate inner layer. After going through three Otterbox Defender iPhone cases in as many years I’ve gone Ballistic…. Ballistic Hard Core (HC) that is. Two plus years and still going strong, best case and belt clip I’ve ever owned. The only downside, it’s not waterproof. The waterproof cases I’ve seen are either too flimsy or too bulky/heavy for my liking. Not here to bash just hoping to help.
