iPhone 5 Pre-Order Delivery Date

Almost, mine is set for delivery on the 1st October 😟

I ordered mine at about 18:00 UK time on the 14th when the store came back up.

I am half tempted to go to the Apple Store later today and see if i can just have one of theirs instead of waiting a week.

woke up and noticed that i missed my delivery at 9:42am. the delivery guy left a note saying he'd be back around 11am

well b hazel when i "pre-order" something i expect it to be available on the release date. that is the reason why they have things called "pre orders" so they know how many iphones need to be ready to ship come release date especialy when i buy the 64gb in canada costing more then $1000 and get a delivery date of oct 9 is sooo ****. im not asking alot i just want the $1000 product i pre ordered to be at my door at least the week of release

Agreed! I also have an Oct 9 delivery date... it's quite annoying when you pre order a week before launching!

Wrong again. Most stores still have phones available and its hours after opening. Again, Apple made sure their stores had inventory instead of loyal customers that pre-ordered them.

Mine that is due for delivery on 1st October has changed to preparing to ship, here's hoping T-Mobile get my sim to me before the phone now!!!!

Mine was originally going to deliver on the 1st October, i just got a text saying its been shipped and should be here on Monday, if not before!!

I had given up waiting and went out to buy one from my two nearest Apple Stores but they had none left. Turns out it was a good thing because they've decided to ship my pre order 🙂 🙂

I ordered my phone at 1 a.m. from Apple since Sprint's website wouldn't even load due to the traffic, but I waited and ordered my husband's later in the afternoon at 1 p.m. fromSprint. However, this morning I found out that my husband's phone is out for delivery right now and he should get it by 4 p.m. T-T

I am truly disappointed with Apple.

I should have been patient and just ordered mine with Sprint.

I've just had same text W24TSN, just hope I can get my Nano Sim from T-Mobile by Monday, it's due in post next week, which I was happy about as phones wasn't due until 1st. Be scared to use it as got no case or anything as was going to local Apple store next week to get 4s fixed and was going to pick some stuff up then.

Mine got here a few hours ago. DOES not work with the AT&T microcell out of the box. AT&T said that they would fix it tomorrow

Yeah me too, I was supposed to order an Invisible Shield from Zagg but I'm going to have to get my skates on.

Might see if a friend who's order with Vodafone was "delayed" will let me have one of his bumpers and screen protectors.

So my ETA is also Oct 5th. I did set an alarm and woke up for the release. 20 min in, the Apple site still wasn't loading so I went back to sleep. An hour in, it loaded and because my AT&T billing address is a PO box, the site directed me that I had to buy in-store because they don't ship to PO boxes. I called AT&T around noon CST and they updated my address to my physical house, ordered no problem. I spoke to a local store and they said they would have plenty of stock so I thought I'd wake up today and just go there. Apple had updated my status to preparing. I called Apple last night and the rep assured me there was a warehouse locally holding the devices and that this phone release was set with Saturday deliveries. She said I'd have mine tomorrow. Well...I've been waiting all day and the order is still showing Oct 5th. The phones at Apple are down (after getting disconnected after 25 min on hold).

Based on all of the clues in this thread, it seems the Oct 5th devices are more than likely on this plane. http://flightaware.com/live/flight/UPS61/history/20120921/2248Z/PANC/KSDF and due to arrive in KY a little before 1am EDT. If that is true, I would imagine overnight, they will be shipping hardcore to the major cities. Mine may actually come to the Chicagoland area in time to arrive tomorrow but I would guess Monday seems more like it. I'm a little bummed I could have picked one up after work and made sure the new SIM and everything was operable but hey...I guess I could learn to wait.

Rumor has it you can track your package once it gets past the KY facility on the UPS site using your phone # as your reference so I'm hoping to do that around 1am. If anyone has insight as to all this or any update on his or her Oct 5th delivery estimates...well, we aren't busy taking 28megapixel panoramic photos of anything so post an update.

Oh and anyone else literally watching his or her battery drain on iOS6? My iPhone 4 is getting about 1/2 of it's normal run time. #RantingTillMyPackageComes
