iPhone 5 Pre-Order Delivery Date

My order status remains unchanged. It still states a delivery date of October 5th, and I have yet to receive any email other than the pre-order confirmation. However, I am not really expecting any changes until Monday at the very earliest (if there are any). In all honesty, I think the October 5th delivery date is very real. Based on my theory, the pre-order page didn't go live for everyone at the same time. As I was clicking the refresh button, it simply kept stating that it wasnt available yet to preorder (and it finally went live an hour late by my calculations). I'll follow up with any changes.

A few points of clarification in regard to shipping date:

• Most U.S. orders received by Apple prior to 12:45AM PDT on 9/14 seem to be set to ship on 9/21.
• Most U.S. orders received in the 16 hours or so after that time seem to be set to ship around 9/28, with delivery around 10/5.
• Most Canadian orders seem to be 2-4 days behind those dates.
• Orders placed after around 3PM PDT on 9/14 seem to be set to ship after 10/9.
• The date that is in the confirmation email seems to be the date it's expected to be delivered, not the shipping date. So if it says it should arrive on 10/5, that probably means it will ship around the "two weeks" from yesterday, which is about 9/28, but it takes about 5 business days to arrive since it's gound shipping. That's only one week after the launch date of 9/21, so it's not really that delayed.

It's too bad the pre-order page didn't go live at 12:00 PDT..... at least not for me. This wasn't an issue of the page no loading. I clearly got their custom page stating it wasn't open yet. It went live at 13:00 PDT.

Are you guys talking about the 16g version? Looks like the 32g and up you are able to get quicker,

Don't know about the others, but I pre-ordered the 64g version on Launch Day, and got the Oct 5th Delivery Date. 😟

I went for the 16gb. I really wanted a 32gb, but since I'm paying full price, another $100 was a little too much.

i ordered at 8:20 am UK time 14th on the mobile site because the internet site was still closed mine is Preparing for shipment delivery date 21/9 as well

Maybe that's where I lost out. I was waiting for the regular site to go live instead of the mobile one. It's mobile site didn't even cross my mind.

I preordered mine from my phone using the apple store app and i preordered a 16Gb 2 ours after it went live any my delivery date says oct 9. So gay.

do you guy realize that millions of people probably pre ordered these phones and you exact apple to have that many ready to go and shipped. We anything this big goes on sales its always limited. You guys all are demanding a ton from people.

I dont' recall demanding anything. However, it would be nice to have the phone along with everyone else. Are we stuck waiting? Yes. Are we aware of the reasons why? Yes. Does that change how we feel about waiting longer? No.

Your demanding to get the phone the day it release as great as that would be that is not a real expectation. you will get the phone faster then most people that are going to the store. Stores are getting a limited amount and will most likely be out with in 20 minutes. And this isnt even really the place for this post. this is a technical forum for iphone hardware which has nothing to do with the shipping.

I still don't recall demanding. I clearly stated in earlier posts that I was going to be patient and wait it out. Is this the wrong place for this thread? Yes. Did I create the thread? No. Since the thread is here and active, will I continue to reply to it? Yes.
