iPhone 5 Pre-Order Delivery Date

I pre-ordered iPhone 5 32 GB black CDMA version, at about 7 central time this morning, and website says it will be delivered on October 5. If this is true, I am extrememly unhappy. Could it arrive sooner than that time?

Thanks

Does anybody here want to talk about the status of thier iPhone shipment? I do!

For those of us who are in the first batch out of China, our phones are on UPS flight 61 due to touch down in Louisville, Kentuckee in about an hour and a half. Just after midnight KY time. After that it's anybody's guess when the shipments go out to the whole U.S.

Anybody in Northern, CA with an actual tracking number who can tell us a departure time from KY, tomorrow?

John, normally a parcel will catch a plane straight from Louisville to the closest airport to your nearest UPS hub and then hitch a truck ride straight to your local UPS center, but these phones aren't supposed to get delivered until Friday, so I have a feeling that they're going to either fly out west next for those of you on the West Coast, or take a slow 3 day trip via semi truck or ToFC railroad cars for those of us on the East Coast or those out in the Midwest and Central US.

To all of you bragging about getting your phones on the 21st, kudos to you. But this thread was not originated for your bragging. Let me give you some reality. Not everyone is in the same time zone and some like myself had to go to work on the 14th and as such I could not stay up all night mindlessly pressing a refresh button until I could place whenever that was. I went to place as soon as I woke up and received a congratulations notice says I would get it on the 21st which then was followed by another notifying that it would be Oct. 1 and then finally Oct. 5. When I talked with a rep about it, it was suggested I take the day off on the 21st and go to a store. When I told her I was a teacher and couldn't do that she suggested I get a substitute and go to the store. That is ridiculous. She then said she was sorry about what happend but there was nothing anyone could do. That is when I thought, wait this is just a phone. I no longer was upset by not getting it on the 21st, but how ridiculous the situation and her suggestions were. So I say congratulations to those of you who had nothing better to do than stay up all night to get it on the 21st or who plan to camp out at a store again, because you have nothing better to do or no responsibilities to concern yourself with. Let's all put this in perspective. Because of how I was treated and the ridiculous suggestions made, I am considering seriously canceling my preorder. Just wanted to insert my comment to this ridiculous bragging fest and arguments.

I surely hope so, but I am not holding my breath. I was just reading about the people already camping out in New York. All I thought as I looked at the pictures was how ridiculous and pitiful those people looke and then I wondered as to whether they had jobs and if so, if their superiors would be happy knowing what they are doing or if they were college and high school students who feel this is the most important thing to do with their time. Our priorities are mighty screwed up if things like this become this important that we need to brag and put others down especially those who chose not to stay up all night and instead got some sleep because of work or other obligations. The thread veered away from what you started to the thread to be and that was sad to me. Thanks for your post. I hope people realize how obssessed they have become over this and can stop. Get back to reality and take a deep breath.
