Use only the charger that came with the iPad.
iPad Charging
"The fastest way to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter.
iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter.
When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge, but only when it's in sleep mode.
Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain."
im using another cable (i dont know which device cable) , and it still says not charging. If i get a charging cable connected to the Apple charge thingy, it charges. but if i connect it to Belkin charging thing, it doesnt charge. (the belkin doesn't charge at all actually)
sry for the confusing language i just used
Are you connecting the the iPad charger? Do NOT use an iPhone/iPod charger. Do NOT use a computer USB port.

Then don't use it... Probably not compatible with the iPad...
ok so i have one Belkin charge thing (from Korea) and one iPod Touch cable 4 gen.
and then i have the iPad rectangular prism charge thing with the iPad cable i believe. (the dock part is fat and wide and has those two pressing things on the side).
the belkin doesnt charge anything.
if i connect computer + iPad cable + iPad, no charge.
if i connect computer + iPod cable + iPad, no charge.
if i connect computer + iPod cable + iPod, yes charge.
if i connect rectangular prism charger + iPad/iPod cable + iPad/iPod, yes charge.
***?
That makes sense. The iPod requires more current than the iPad.

Oops...
anyone know if the Mophie Juice Packs are of any help, in terms of charging an iPod outside?
Try to use the original iPad cable, 3rd party cable is only 55.5% likely to work. 🙂
is that the one that has the fat and wide dock part that has two pressing things on the side?
yes. (LMFAO at "fat") 😀
lol. but i connected that and the ipad to the computer and it wouldnt charge.
