Opinions, Mac pro 12 core or 6 core for video editing?

Hello everyone,

I know that this a most likely a rhetorical question but i currently have a mac pro 12 core 2.4ghz 12 gigs of ram (plan on upgrading to 32 gigs) and a 6 core 3.33ghz 12 gigs of ram. I do a lot of video editing (starting to use Final cut pro X) and i do a lot of visual effects work in Adobe after effects and 3D animaton work in cinema 4d. I am only keeping one of the computers.. what are your guys thoughts? Should i keep the 12 core even tough it has a lower clock speed, or should i keep the 6 core since it has a higher clock speed? I dont mean to ask such a dumb question but i want to hear what your guys thoughts are.

Thanks in advance!

You can suggest someone contact you to discuss some issue not of general interest, such as a possible sale of some cards you have. email links should visible be in your profile, NOT posted openly on the Forums.

Example:

"If have an extra one of those adapters I would like to sell. If you are interested, Email me ( just click on my name) and we can talk about it."

That is very similar to the info you posted above, except for a) the explicit address in the forum and b) you need to make clear this will be a commercial transaction and/or include the disclaimer.

I've admitted that I erred in having posted my email address (out of ignorance). I've recommended that he click on my profile (coinciding with your suggestions), and agree that this is not an act of my making a donation, nor acting on behalf of Apple, despite the fact that this is a discussion on their forum. Is there another infraction that I've committed that's continuing this (albeit courteous) discourse on methodology? If so, it's escaping me.

I'm an individual operating in my own interests which I'm hopeful coincide with his. That's it.

This line of discussion is only continuing because it appears to me you got scolded by the Hosts, and you professed to being a noob. When you do that in a community of people who get their "kicks" from helping, more help is likely to flow your way, whether you need it or not.

I want you to be happy visiting here and occasionally helping as well. Everyone who posts here (unless they are identified as an Apple employee or Host) is a volunteer, a user like you. I am not an enforcer.

No offense was ever intended.
