iPhone 4 Mic & Speaker not Working during Call

Hello All,

I have iphone 4 and it was locked on at&t and was running ios 5.0.1, now i have unlocked my iphone and now i am using ios 5.1.1. But i have a problem, when i call someone i cant hear anything "no dial tone sound and no sound during call" & speaker mode is also not working and nor the person cant hear my voice. I also tested on my another phone but same problem.....

So can you tell me is this a hardware problem or software problem ?? and yeah i can record voice memos and i can listen my memos with speaker on and off

it is at&t iphone so my friend helped me and he talked to att support and they unlock my phone....

Do the basic troubleshooting steps described in the User Guide:

1. Reset iPhone (no data loss): Press both home and power buttons for at least 10 seconds, releasing when the Apple logo appears.

2. Restore in iTunes using a backup

3. Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup.

If restoring as new doesn't help, there is a hardware failure.

i reset my iphone as well as restored it using my backup but same problem, i didnt restore it without using a backup, what if i downgrade my ios to 5.0.1 ??

Downgrading the iOS isn't supported. Jailbroken?

my phone was jailbroken but i restored it to unlock my iphone so now it is not jailbroken

Not necessarly so. Not all traces of jailbreaking get removed when restoring if there was any alteration of the modem baseband (even if it now reports a "stock" version). This is likely to be the source of your problem.

Try restoring as new. Otherwise, SOL.
