Why won't my iTunes movie rental play or download?

I rented a movie on iTunes and a little bit after it started to download, it said that I could play the movie. I hit play and the movie screen popped up but stayed black and at 0:00. I am pitching a fit if I can't end up watching this movie within my now 23 hours of rental time.

agreed. I got the digital version of Deadpool yesterday, and it won't play at all on my PC. I've done just about everything I can think of, and it won't play at all. only thing I can think of, is that the digital version, is HD ONLY, and if your comp display isn't HD, you're SoL.

I don't really want to watch Deadpool, on a tiny little phone, that'll go from 100% battery power, to 5% in just a few minutes with a movie playing, but I may not have a choice. I'm seriously considering just deactivating my account...I shouldn't have to go to great lengths just to play a **** movie here. 😐

Hi, I think I might be a little late but I found the problem. I gave up on the trick with the Mini Player as it still didn't work. After an hour or so I searched every command possible and I made it show me the movie in Finder. I then opened it from the Finder. To my suprise it opened it in QuickTimePlayer and the Player told me that the Display I used wasn't authorized to play movies. I then proceeded to disconnect the display and tried playing the movie in itunes on my laptop without display. It worked. Try it. I hope I helped you.
