Is there anyway to get adobe flash for the iPad?
iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi
IOS device do not support Flash
However Skyfire, Photon, iSwifter, Browse2Go and Puffin Web Browser will provide limited Flash capability
No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.
Here is Steve Jobs official comment on his momentous decision to omit Flash from iDevices: Steve Jobs on Flash.
Here is Adobe's later announcement to cease development of Flash for mobile devices: Adobe on Mobile Flash.
Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.
Apps that can display some Flash from the Web:
Also, note that many sites that use Flash provide their own app for accessing their material. So check with your favorite sites and find out if "there's an app for that."
Yeah there is plenty of web surfing apps in the app store that support flash player on the ipad, some of them are free and some of them cost money. If you are going to be using it a lot i suggest the paid version so that you dont have to see ads and stuff

The reason there is no flash player for Apple products is so that you have to buy shows on ITunes that you could normally view for free on websites like CBS.com, Sci Fy.com etc...Why would Apple pay Adobe for the use of a flash player when they get $2.00-4.00 per show from all of us
If that was true why would they allow apps, such as ABC.com, that allow you to watch their shows on your iPhone or iPad?
Then why is ITunes charging $$ for shows that are free on network websites, except ABC that has crappy shows that no one would ever pay for or even know about
Apple has had shows available for purchase long before they were offered for free. This had little to do with the whole flash debate which is over. You can search here for arguments on both sides if you want to.
Adobe has abandoned flash for any mobile device.
On jelly bean(android) you can not install it at all.
So I guess Google and Adobe joined your evil conspiracy.
Wrap the aluminum foil tighter, I can see some air sticking out.
I found out the real reason that Apple doesn't support Flash when I read the Jobs biography. Simple revenge. When jobs rejoined Apple and launched OSX, he asked Adobe to port their Creative Suite to the new platform, and they refused. This gave Windows a huge edge. So when Apple Rose to prominence with iPod, the iTunes Store, and iPhones, Jobs returned the favor by shutting Adobe out!
Then why does every other Adobe product function on Apple devices?
You don't build the most successful company in the world using revenge as your foundation.
Can you give us the page number where he says that he shut Adobe out for revenge? Doesn't this contradict the Thoughts on Flash letter her wrote? Cite please.
Yeah, I guess that would explain why Adobe has abandoned development of Flash for ALL mobile platforms?
Johnathan, just to let you know you can get flash on jellybean and android, i just put it on my son's Google Nexus 7 🙂
I read the same thing in Jobs' Biography, but I listened to the audio book, so no page number. I suggest everyone go to this link and bug Apple about adding the compatibility to use flash! TAKE ACTION! FYI - the biography was FASINATING!! You should read it!
