Genius sending forever

Genius sending forever

Running on i7 Dell desktop. I launched iTunes (ver. 10.6) and after several minutes Genius was still "sending information to Apple" So I installed 10.7 and launched it. Same issue; Genius still sending after 5 minutes or more.

Ideas anyone?

This is still not solved. This problem makes it look like Apple is aquiring more information than they should. The same message has now been there for months if not years everytime I open iTunes. I hope someone has some ideas on what to try.

I left iTunes open for a considerable period of time (2 hours?), and Genius finally stopped. I guess it just needs a long time for some reason. It always worrries me because I figure its slowing down a sync or an update.
