Is iMessage down right now?

Down in WY as well, ours just went out today (09-20)

i am having problems sending/receiving iMessages to/from Pakistan for last 4 days. is there still an outage? i am in another discussion as well about this and would definitely like to have this issue resolved!!

any word from Apple?

Mine has been down since iOS 6 update last wednesday. I've had zero sent or received iMessages, and haven't heard or seen any response from Apple yet.

Go check your settings, I found updating to ios6 turned off my iMessage and FaceTime

i think it was not for the iOS; i had them update today and it started to work. lets see for how long now. this was across the continents in Pakistan 🙂

Down in WA State too.. Been intermittant for over a week now. This is getting annoying, because in some cases it show the message delivered, when in reality it never was.

I'm in Southern California on AT&T with iPhone 5. iMessage is working for me BUT I have been unable to send any pictures/videos via iMessage. I have to switch back to text message to send them. Rather frustrating.

this is exactly what happened with me; but like i said its working for now. lets see how long. thanks to whatsapp tho; long distance messaging would have been impossible 😟

iMessage is not down. If you have recently updated to iOS 6 your iMessage is turned off. Go into your settings>messages> turn on iMessage. You may have to log in with your apple id again. I have done this and mine is working just fine. Hope this helps.

I've had iMessage deactivate itself on my wife's iPhone 4 and today on my iPhone 5. I was sending iMessages all day yesterday and today I noticed that all my messages to other iPhones were going out SMS. Checking settings, iMessage was deactivated. Took at least 10 minutes to reactivate after turning it back on. Apple has some work to do on iOS 6.

Down in Vancouver too. It's been on and off since I upgraded to IOS 6 a couple of weeks ago. So frustrating. When bbm was down for 3 days it was quite the big deal. This has been on for more than a week...
