Facebook push notifications not working properly

I'm experiencing the same issue for 2 days now. Note: logging out - uninstalling - reinstalling does not fix this issue. (iOS 5.1.1 on iPhone 4)

No sounds and I just updated to the new ios6. Beyond frustrated.

Same problem, the sounds just stopped working all of a sudden last week. iOS 6 and the update to the Facebook app haven't solved this issue.

I guess we have to be patient...ugh. Read on other threads that iOS 6 doesn't fix it (like mentioned above), nor the new Facebook 5.0.1 app release that came out earlier today. Possibly a problem on the servers?! Facebook has been the only app on iOS giving me headaches 24/7 since always... Anyhow, I'm not planning to upgrade to iOS 6 anytime soon, and when I do, I'll choose 'restore as new' as I did with 5.1.1

I'm having this same problem as well, both my exchange and AOL are not pushing. iCloud is pushing properly. I also have another problem I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this either but none of my push notifications from facebook are playing a tone or vibrating. I have tried everything reinstalled app, went through all notifcation settings and everything. Still nothing, anyone else experiencing this?

I am having the same issue.Facebook notifications not gettin updated neither are messages.I cant seem to download new apps..:( and also my yahoo mail isnt working. All this when i am using wifi (which was perfectly ok before the update).However when i use my mobile network all seems fine.. but again why is it not updating with wifi!!!!

I'm having the same trouble with eBay etc no push emails,noticed though now in advanced settings you can only select push for your iCloud email account not your pop account,this is quite annoying when you've been outbid etc which has happened twice until i found out,this is an iOS 6 issue as both my iphone 4 and 5 do this,I remember before the update had defiantly had push on my pop account because I remember switching fetch to manual and turning push on and I never even went into the advance menu yet it worked.

Oh i had this but opposite! I kepthearing my phone and I was like what is that notification for! lol Its not in the notification center anymore! setting < Facebook< Settings. And there is a option there to turn on and off sounds. ... I prefer mine off. I dont need to hear when even I have a reply to whatever I said on there. But If your isnt working maybe its off. lol Give it a whirl.

Maybe it has something to do with that share widget? I turned that off in the noticfication center and i THINK my beeping stopped! hahaha! so try there and make sure yours is enabled! haha!! Hope that helps. I have been wondering all afternoon what that share widget even does. lol

Same here...tried all mentioned above, and nothing fixed it. I even tried setting my Facebook to send over texts...and still nothing. The push notification banners, but no sound. For me, it's not any better than checking FB on my computer so I've deleted he APP from my phone and my itunes account. Per itunes, I put the APP in the recycle bin. I sure hope that doesn't mean I get the crippled APP back if I ever re-install Facebook assuming Apple and FB are working on it? In my opinion the APP has a bug. There is no way this many people have a device issue if all their other APPS (properly set) are sending their push notifications to include sound. If anyone gets wind it's been corrected via an update, please post here and I'll do same. The biggest annoyance with this is whole thing is Apple failing to owe up to it. They're more focused on selling their iPhone 5 which I assume it's change is what caused the glitch in the software for us. Instead of wasting my time on a dead Facebook, I can improve my skills on using Goggle plus.

I have the same problem. Still get notification but no sound and vibrate. only facebook has this problem. Do i need to go to apple store to ask them solve this problem or anyone has any suggestions??

I'm having the same problem no sound and I have iOS 6 iPhone 4S and is also not working on my iPad iOS 6.... Help 😢

My FB notifications stopped working after I upgraded to the new iOS. FB isn't even showing up in the notification center now. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I've rebooted the device, nothing works. I think there's a problem between the application and the new iOS. It's driving me crazy!!! If anyone finds a solution, please post!!!
