HDMI Samsung monitor T240HD

Hi Folks

I have some problems while connecting mentioned Samsung SyncMaster T240HD via HDMI at my MacBook PRO Retina with Mountain Lion.

What's the problem?

Upper stripe (control bar + some 50pixels) of the screen is hidden,

the opposite bottom part of the screen is raised a bit and the bottom 20pixels is replicated all the gap down...

Since print screen shows my screen without defects i made a picture with my phone (don't blame me for this)

Same exact problem for me, I have been using a mini displayport to DVI adaptor and a DVI cable for almost FOUR years to connect my MacBook and Samsung T240HD monitor.

The adaptor has recently become almost unusable so I purchased a mini displayport to HDMI adaptor and a HDMI cable but I have this problem. I don't want to shelve out for another adaptor, and I'm sure this can be fixed.

I have the same problem.

When I connect my Dell XPS laptop to the same HDMI cable, the Samsung T240HD Monitor displays absolutely fine.

When I connect my MacBook PRO Retina with Mountain Lion to an Epson HD projector with HDMI in the display is fine.

For me it is the combination of MacBook PRO Retina with Mountain Lion and Samsung SyncMaster T240HD that is causing this issue.

Any ideas ??

I was calling The Apple support centre, since they won't read any web discussions at all.

They sent me some manuals how to restart a few buses on my MAC, but none of them heleped me to solve this problem.

Here are these solutions of Apple's well known display problems:

1) http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

2) http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964?viewlocale=en_US

3) http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1573?viewlocale=en_US

Finally, while I called them, we found out that it's not the Apple's problem, but rather monitor manufacturer made a wrong driver for it. We should find or force to provide solution at SAMSUNG's side.

I tested my MACBOOK HDMI output on several HDMI screens and projectors, everything worked fine, except of this particular SAMSUNG T240HD

Did You guys tried to use thunderbolt to HDMI reduction on this screen?

This should obviously provide same problem as HDMI output...
