nbtstat
Is there something equivalent program in OS X to nbtstat that is used in Windows operating systems?
MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1)
From the terminal:
Take a look at the online help for smbutil(1):
$ man smbutil
Let's say there is an SMB server on your network. You have named it smbstation.
The output from the following command sequence will look familiar to you.
$ smbutil -v status -ae smbstation.local
