I have an iphone, an ipad and a mac air. I cannot download anything from iTunes from any of my devices. This is a relatively new problem (within the past 2-3 weeks) and seems to have happened at nearly the same time for all three devices. My symptom is simply a message that states "Your purchase could not be completed. Contact iTunes Support to complete this transaction". However, there appears to be no reasonable way to contact iTunes support. When I send an e-mail to them via there "Support" page, I receive an automated e-mail saying that my concer is being reviewed and that I will get a return e-mail (usually within 24 hours). Ten days later (and 5 more e-mails sent via this method), I have only received one e-mail saying that my concern is very important to Apple and that it is being investigated. That is it.

Now, when I went into the system to attempt to find the status of my 5 other requests, I find that all of them have been closed...without a response. Today, I even sent another e-mail, checked it's status 10 minutes later and found that it also had been "closed". What is happening here?

BTW. I have tried all of the suggestions in this forum and nothing has worked for me yet. This really does remind me of the Google Maps debacle, except that the time span of this specific forum is so long that it seems that Apple has no idea how to fix the problem...or they simply do not care.

Can't believe the solution is not in the official help pages. I've been searching through normal channels for days (and ignored the discussion forum when googling) until I finally decided to take a look here. And the solution was right there! Who'd thought time change can affect the itunes connection!

Next time, I'm checking the discussion forum first before going into official channel.

Absolutely amazing that this still hangs out there. I was in an apple store and they looked at me like, where did you come up with this issue?? They have not been very forthright with this and other issues. I can't believe that Steve would have allowed this kind of stuff to happen in the first place (our issue here, maps problem, etc). I guess as long as they have billions of cash laying around, the customer service need not be so great. I suspect I might have been better off with an Android system, but we were already using itunes for our music and had an ipad, so it seemed logical to have an iphone. BTW, I am typing this on my PC.

I know it sounds bad, but all you need to disable "Lookout" Security or any other possible anti-virus or security programs that may be running to protect your precious Iphone, then hit Install. Once the app is downloaded, if you feel you still need the added security again, you can turn it back on.

No need to change times, imap, punch in codes, go to this and that sight, or time warp to Jupiter turn on/off something, warp back jumping on only two toes with phone in pocket flip it upside down and turn on/off another feature; just disable the AV's that are really made for PC's. lolz 😉

I hope this helps you and any other members out...
