iOS 6 App Store Crashing when trying to view Purchased apps

After upgrading to iOS 6 my iPhone 4s can't display purchased apps. I start the App Store, touch updates and then touch purchased. I get a spining circle with Loading... for about a minute and then the App Store just exits and I'm back to the iPhone's first screen.

I've seen similar behavior with my new iPad after updating to iOS6. I haven't seen it crash but when starting App Store and then touching purchased it just stays at a spinning circle and says Loading... It never changes.

I've done the obvious stuff, power cycle and hold both buttons for a reset.

I understand that you have updated to iOS 6, and after troubleshooting the wifi and restoring the device you find you're still unable to connect properly to the purchased page. I can certainly understand your concern, and would be more than happy to help however I can.

Got the same problem, "Purchased Apps" will not load but crash the App Store App after some time.

I got 3034 apps on my account (about half of them paud apps, I must be in their Top-100 list of App Store customers 😉) and this seems to be too much for Apple.

I wonder who does the Q&A at Apple since this problem was already there in all beta versions of iOS6. I got the same problem on an iPad 2 (Wifi&3G) and on an iPhone 5. Same devices work with another account (of my wife).

So it is definitely a problem regarding the amount of apps you bought or downloaded to your account.

Let's be honest: All Cloud services at Apple do not work very well...

I think what's worrisome is that on the list of bug fixes detailed yesterday for 6.01 that was released to carriers, no mention of AppStore and iTunes fixes. For me, upgrading to iphone5 solved the purchased fix and while the Genius tab will show results, hitting any app in that tab triggers a crash. I still have two artists in my iTunes purchased list that won't display the purchases on any 6.0 device but will on 5.x devices. Going thru apple support for the iTunes issue was a wasted frustrating excersise to say the least.

The consensus yesterday seemed that this was a hot fix and that a proper 6.1 update may not be ready till post holidays. I would think this issue would have been on a hot fix list. End of the day no real choice about it, will have to wait and see. The work around out there aren't proper fixes, they won't work for the masses. In addition, reducing number of apps because you 'upgraded' to a new os is obviously no real solution and isn't a valid course of action.

Hi there !

Got the "Purchased" problem.

App Store generates me a crash report every time : LowMemory… with "Largerst process: AppStore" most of the time.

Any trick doesn't work.

Contacted support by mail but they are telling me it's a problem with my phone 😁

Have 776 Apps so no reason to look further.

Logged in with another account with a few purchases and it worked well.

Hope Apple is realy working on this one 🙂

skylarking let us know if you get some info 😉

Add me to the list of problems with Purchased (iOS 6). I have about 5000 apps (over half of them are not free apps) which I have collected over about 4 years. I have tried all the suggestions (reboot, restore, disable genious including location base iads, etc). The problem exists on my 3gs, iphone 4, iphone 5, ipad 2, and ipad 3 using my account.

Purchased was working fine for me for awhile until recently. I really don't remember for sure if it worked when I upgraded all the devices to ios 6 when it first came out or not but I thought it did.

Genious did not work for me either btw before I disabled it today to test. It would just lock up when I touched an app.

For me I don't get crashes. I just get the 'Loading...' message which lasts for a very long time (maybe 5 minutes) and then an error 'Cannot connect to iTunes Store'. I don't see any low memory diagnostic entries in the Diagnostic and Use area. Everything else works pretty quickly like Featured, Updates, etc.

Now that I think more about this the more I am sure Purchased worked for me in iOS 6 just a week or two ago.
