iOS 6 App Store Crashing when trying to view Purchased apps

After upgrading to iOS 6 my iPhone 4s can't display purchased apps. I start the App Store, touch updates and then touch purchased. I get a spining circle with Loading... for about a minute and then the App Store just exits and I'm back to the iPhone's first screen.

I've seen similar behavior with my new iPad after updating to iOS6. I haven't seen it crash but when starting App Store and then touching purchased it just stays at a spinning circle and says Loading... It never changes.

I've done the obvious stuff, power cycle and hold both buttons for a reset.

I have been on the phone with Apple, I called this issue in over three months ago. They told me it has nothing to so with the devices. This is something they are supposedly working on and have no idea when it will be fixed. The temp. Solution they gave me was a copy of ALL my purchase orders since 2007 in an e mail. Not very helpful when you have over 2500 purchases.

Argh... programmatically, this couldn't be very hard to fix... just add a conditional like if (nrOfPurchasedApps > 100) <truncate the array to be shown to the last 100 elements> and that's all...

I agree with you. This is very sad, shame on apple for not giving this issue the attention is desperately needs. I know they're reading this forum post, but just have no idea what to do probably. Personally I can't leave apple products, but I wouldn't recommend the iPhone 5 to anyone over the galaxy S3 after seeing how disrespectfully apple is handling themselves.

I know this is a little different to the original problem but my App Store is showing that I have 3 updates but when I go to updates nothing shows up!

I have an iPhone 5, 4s and an iPod, I did updates for apps yesterday with no trouble on the 4s and the iPod but my 5 is having major issues!

I have also had trouble doing an iCloud backup, got it to 26 minutes to go and it said that the backup was incomplete! Majorly disappointed at the moment!

I have tried all the suggestions on this thread and nothing has helped, I can't even see my purchased apps anywhere, someone please help me as I know that Apple won't be much help!

Sometimes, the App Store makes a mistake on purchases and charges you for an app that you already bought. How can I check it?

I have the same problem - I, having purchased thousdands of apps, can't keep track of what I've purchased. Unfortunately, just searching for an app in AppStore doesn't guarantee it'll be shown as a purchased title. Hiding older titles as a workaround is just not acceptable (too awkward a process - and, besides, what happens if I do need those apps too?).

I really hope Apple fixes this. Again, this is a very-easy-to-fix bug, programmatically - Apple only needs to add a conditional to avoid loading more than, say, 100 records at a time. I don't think it'd take them more than one day to implement and test this.

I've been following this thread for months, hopeful but more and more frustrated. Same problem on all our older iPads and iPhones, from 6.0 through 6.0.x, with thousands of apps in our Purchased list.

Will try 6.1 tonight, but the above posts claim it still doesn't fix this major bug?!

Like everyone else I can't fathom Apple not publicly acknowledging this. I also don't understand why mainstream tech blogs and sites have not been covering this issue?? They seem to cover other bugs in iOS quickly enough, but not this. Are they not aware?

I just went to some tech sites announcing the iOS 6.1 release, and scanned the user comments. I couldn't find anyone bringing up this issue.

Is it the case that the vast majority of iOS users have relatively few apps and not affected by this bug?
