iOS 6 App Store Crashing when trying to view Purchased apps

After upgrading to iOS 6 my iPhone 4s can't display purchased apps. I start the App Store, touch updates and then touch purchased. I get a spining circle with Loading... for about a minute and then the App Store just exits and I'm back to the iPhone's first screen.

I've seen similar behavior with my new iPad after updating to iOS6. I haven't seen it crash but when starting App Store and then touching purchased it just stays at a spinning circle and says Loading... It never changes.

I've done the obvious stuff, power cycle and hold both buttons for a reset.

CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT APPLE HAS RELEASED AN UPDATE BUT DID NOT ADDRESS THE PURCHASED APPS PROBLEM. STEVE WOULD HAVE BEEN SO ASHAME HOW HIS COMPANY IS HANDLING THIS ISSUE.

Tested on my iPhone 5 after a full restore (read: I've made a clean install without restoring the previous, 6.0.2 backup.) Listing previous purchases still doesn't work with about 1500 purchased titles.

I'm at just over 1300 purchased apps and don't think I'll bother to update to iOS6.1 if this problem now extends to the Genius section. As with all of you, it's utterly disgraceful that a major bug like this is either being ignored or is taking this long to fix. You do not ignore bugs that cause your apps to crash, they're the ones you fix first (speaking with13yrs of QA experience at IBM).

I'm using a 64GB ipad mini with IOS 6.1

My first post a couple of days ago (to complain) tells how to hide apps in itunes and then unhide them under your account.

This is really frustrating. Since I don't know of any way to have another device give me credit for all cash spent in the apple store (i.e., give me those same apps on Android or Samsung), then I am stuck with whatever Apple does.

You can search for them directly in the "Search" tab (the fourth one on the iPhone) - if you remember their names. Then, if you see "Install" instead of the regular price, you can be absolutely sure you can re-download it without paying again.

Unfortunately, this is still far-far more awkward than just browsing prev. purchases under Purchases. Apple should, instead of diligently removing any parts of posts asking for a class action suit as has happened a day ago in this thread too, fix this problem. After all, as I've pointed out above, this problem is very easy to fix - probably even on the server side, that is, without having to issue another firmware upgrade.

By device, I meant going away from Apple. the commercials for Samsung and others show people adopting new smart phones and such based on the features of the hardware, but if I dont't buy another iphone, i lose all my itunes purchases. I'd like the app developers to offer a buyer on one platform the same game on any other mobile platfor. It will never happen, but I can dream. :)
