iOS 6 App Store Crashing when trying to view Purchased apps

Same here. I have contacted tech support and after trying everything he suggested, nothing worked. He finally sent me to iTunes support and after a couple of emails I am still stuck with no purchased items. On my iPad 3 and 2!

Apple must know this problem exist!

Here problem exist in all my idevices with iOS 6 (iPhone 4 iPod and new iPad). There is not with my iPad 1 (iOS 5.1.1)

Same here again. This problem exist on all my devices where I installed iOS 6. That includes my iPhones as well. The only device not affected is my iPad 1 and it couldn't be upgraded, thank heaven.

Same thing with me too. This problem exist on all my devices where I installed iOS 6. Other devices without iOS 6 work fine so I know it's not an account issue. Also have tried all of the tricks like the date change & logging out & back in Store in Settings. Apple really needs or address this issue.

This is just a "me too" post.

My iPhone 3GS crashes when I try to view purchased apps, whereas my iPad 2 just stays spinning forver — just like the OP stated above. (Actually, yesterday my iPad was still working, but today it isn't.)

Since I live in Germany I'm using the German app store.

No resets, hard resets, nor any of the other tips & tricks above has helped. However, I must say that this morning I can see Passbook-compatible apps, which even yesterday still resulted in an "iTunes Store unreachable" error dialog.

This is happening for me also on both my iPad and my iPhone, both iOS 6.

I can get to the Purchased section fine in iTunes on my Mac.

What's odd is if I log into a different iTunes account that isn't my main, the Purchases will load on iOS, there's a lot less purchases associated with that account, so I don't know if it's a volume thing?

Wow!!! Same here! With another account (less purchases) it work... I think it's a bug with big volume purchases.

Tried to deactivate Genius and then reactivate it. Appstore still crashes. That is, I click on Genius, wait a while for it to load, and then as soon as an app turns up, appstore crashes, regardless if I touch it or not. Genius does work on my ipad 3 though.

Purchased still doesn't work, neither on my iphone 4s or ipad 3.

What bothers me a bit extra about these errors, is that they don't seem to get logged. The appstore crash which happens after I enter Genius for example, does not get logged when I check the logs i Settings. This makes me worries that Apple won't see a sudden rise in crashes and won't fix this.

It does seem to be linked with how many apps you have in your purchase history. I cleared out a bunch of useless apps and went from 830 to 465 in my purchases. Now when I open the app store icon and go to updates than purchases, it all appears and doesn't crash. I like how you find better information here than calling the apple care support. Thanks to everyone here!!

Hi, how have you cleared apps? I guess with iTunes on pc/Mac? Do you confirm? If I clear an app on "purchased" when I search it in AppStore, it return me "install"?

Same here but only in iPhone. The ipad2 it's ok.

To clear apps. On itunes on the pc, goto itunes store, then hit the little home symbol, then all the way to the right-side you'll see "purchased". This this will show you everything you have purchased. Then hit the "apps" and you'll see all your purchased apps. Hold the cursor over the app you want to delete and hit the "x" to delete. You'll see the number of apps on the bottom of the screen. Hope this helps.

This just HIDES them from your Purchases, not delete them.
