Am I the only one having ios 6 ipad 3 wi-fi issues

Same issue with Iphone 4S . Was working on wifi adfter update to ios 6 for about 2 hours, but now with the same router it won't connect, I get the same log in screen from apple popping up that everyone is describing.

But, then Apple needs to sends out an update really soon. This issue with Wi-Fi is really disappointing.

First experience with ios 6 was not good at all.

Same here. After the ios6 upgrade, it opens the browser and goes to applet.com that indicated a page not found when i tried to connect my 4s to my home network.

I had the same problem. Looks like IOS 6 update defaults the autojoin on your network to OFF. I changed it to ON and all is good with all devices.

I can confirm that this is DEFINITELY an iOS 6 problem. I'm currently using my wife's 3rd gen iPad (iOS 5.1.1) connected to an airport express to post this. My identical 3rd gen iPad (sitting on the couch next to me) which I just upgraded to ios 6 will not connect.

I love apple products and all but this is a pretty sizable screw up. How many millions of people bought these things? And you push an update like this? Yikes!

I was having the same issue with an iTouch. What did work was to (in WiFi) choose Other... (not the broadcasted SSID), then manually enter the SSID and chose WPA2 and the password.

A total workaround I know. It worked for me, HTH others. It seems it may be improperly detecting the wireless security type.

As someone said earlier, the fix for the time being seems to be going into the WiFi network you're joining and setting the HTTP proxy to Auto.

Worked for me on both my iPad 3 and iPhone 4S.

I had the same problem on my iPad but this seems to have sorted it:

Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Same issue as everyone else, but I've been able to get Wi-Fi connection to work briefly/intermitently. My configuration is:

• iPhone 3GS/iOS 6 (no problems)
• iPhone 4/iOS 6 (no problems)
• iPhone 4S/iOS 6 (no problems)
• iPad 3/iOS 6
• Time Capsule (Late 2011) with WPA2

I have forced a reboot (simultaneusly pressing power button and home button until Apple logo appears) on multiple occassions. It wasn't until the 2nd time I turned Wi-Fi off/on in iOS 6 settings that I could maintain a Wi-Fi connection longer than 5 seconds. I started updating the 30 apps that were available and it worked for about a couple minutes (got 1 app updated) and then Wi-Fi connection died again.

Forced another reboot and re-joined Wi-Fi again. After a couple of failed attempts its working again (for the time being at least)...

hey guys i was having this problem aswell when trying to connect to wifi kept connecting then comming up on a apple error page after iso 6 update on ipad3 so i rebooted the ipad and then went to settings and cleared all my history and now its staying connected to wifi try that to see if it works for you guys too

Server is back up , working now !

the problem has been fixed for me. http://erratasec.blogspot.com/2010/09/apples-secret-wispr-request.html - that page explains why apple was connecting to its own site first. The page it was connecting to had crashed. Now it's back up.

Solved it:

Settings > iCloud > Account > retyped password

Then connected again to my wiki network and it worked
