Am I the only one having ios 6 ipad 3 wi-fi issues

after my update to ios 6 I tried to set up the ipad and it was unable to join the network....so since then I have reset the network settings, NO SOLUTION!... tried messing with my wireless router settings and switching different channels NO SOLUTION!! , and also reinstalled ios 6 to see if that was the issue....NO RESOLVE!

I have come to terms with the fact that my ipad was fine and connected easily before ios 6 with ios 5, so its not my router or wifi settings.....and my ipod touch 4g was updated to ios 6 as well and it connects absolutely fine to my wifi now.....SO SO FAR I AM VERY FRUSTRATED WITH THE UPDATE!

putting my post here as well:

PS - I just sent this to a few of my friends in the big hardware review sites, as well as a few apple execs:

Whats up guys? Its your old buddy dom "battleship mtron author , 9 ssd drives in raid 0" years ago. lol

I wanted to fill you in on a HUGE problem with the new ios 6 update.

My iphone 4 updated without a hitch.

My ipad 3 on the other hand has a HUGE PROBLEM. It is essentially a brick without wifi (since the device relies on wifi for just about every task).

There are currently hundreds of a users within the last 2 hours reporting the same error on the apple discussions site.

What happens is simple:

1. Download and install the update on Ipad 3.

2. Try and connect to your normal wifi connection.

3. It will connect for a few seconds and than fail stating "no internet connection available"

4. It is no a brick without wifi accessibility. (unless we revert to ios 5)

I have tried resetting my router. Resetting settings on the ipad. Renewing the ip address both LOCALLY and through the WAN at the cable modem and rebooting all of my networking equipment (ie: router), I even tried doing a complete wipe and re-install of ios 6 fresh. You guys know I am a tech geek from my background and I have tried everything so I just wanted to fill you in on this potential problem for apple.

I had the same problem on my iPhone 3GS. Since I'm travelling and can't play around with resort routers, I decided to revert to my previous backup. I thought it would also revert to IOS5 (I'm not an expert on iPhones), but it didn't. I restored from backup and now my wifi is working even though the phone shows that it is still using IOS6 (settins > general > version = 6.0) and the new Passbook app is still on my phone. Go figure.

Im having the exact same problem on my 4S trying to access my home network, i have a time capsule as my router and it definitley does not need a log on but im still getting taken to the apple page and kicked off my network every few seconds.

Despite this however i can still connect and use other networks seemingly with out a problem, i've tried one other network so far and its working fine.

ALL - HERE IS THE FIX. I was able to identify this since I just upgraded my phone and it worked fine. When I connected my phone to my home wireless - all was good. I then updated my I-Pad then all wireless stopped working. I noticed on the phone the same page "page not found" error showed up except on the phone it said log-in. So - I figured it was because it could not log into the i-tunes store. I launched I-tunes on my I-Pad, logged in and in a minute or so all was good.

Prior to this I deleted my IP Addresses that were assigned to the phone and the I-Pad in my wireless router - just in case. I even reconfigured the wireless network on the i-pad - did not work.

Enjoy.
