Am I the only one having ios 6 ipad 3 wi-fi issues

after my update to ios 6 I tried to set up the ipad and it was unable to join the network....so since then I have reset the network settings, NO SOLUTION!... tried messing with my wireless router settings and switching different channels NO SOLUTION!! , and also reinstalled ios 6 to see if that was the issue....NO RESOLVE!

I have come to terms with the fact that my ipad was fine and connected easily before ios 6 with ios 5, so its not my router or wifi settings.....and my ipod touch 4g was updated to ios 6 as well and it connects absolutely fine to my wifi now.....SO SO FAR I AM VERY FRUSTRATED WITH THE UPDATE!

I have been having the same sort of problems. I put ios6 onto my 4s and now can't access wifi properly.

In wifi settings, the iPhone sees the network and appears to connect to it (takes longer than normal) . Everything IP address wise looks normal on the iPhone, but web pages either don't load at all, or take literally about 1 min to load the google homepage.

I have a Cisco E4200v1 router. My other iphone 4 (also on ios6) connects fine along with my ipad1 and all other devices in home.

I have tried changing the wifi setting on the router to no avail. I have tried all the iPhone hacks to no avail. I restored the iPhone back to factory and it still couldn't connect to the network.

This is terrible!

Hi

I had exactly the same issues. I found that if I change my router setting from mixed 11g and 11n to just 11g, my ipad2 would then connect. (Draytek router)

Oddly I have since reverted my router settings back to mixed 11g and 11n and it is still connecting.

What is even more odd is my iphone 4s, which I upgraded to ios6 before my ipad2, was unaffected and worked perfectly

Good luck 🙂

The ipad new was connecting to Wifi before i updated to latest ios 6 version, i tried hard rest, i tried changing the router setting as per the discussion forum, but no use, it still does not connect to Wifi. Can anyone please help on this issus ?, it looks like i am not only one having similar issue. I tried to restore it by connecting the ipad to my Mac, but is is downloading the latest ios 6 version again, not sure if the issues will resolve if i restore and update with latest version again. I would appreciate if anyone has any solution to fix this issue.

Kojenku, I tried all that you suggested but did not help in connecting to Wifi. I tried all the following

1. Tried resetting my iPad by pressing home button and swith off button.

2. Rest the network, power off the router for a min and restart it and tried connecting to Wifi

3. Change the channel in the router to "2" from "4" and other setting in it.

4. Other few options that are in the discussion forum

Only option i have not tried is to restore it, itried to resotore the iPad but it was taking me to the ios 6 download site. Will try this opotion and will update if my iPad connects to Wifi.

Hi did you try checking your router settings to see if it was using wireless N? I found that by changing the router from mixed wirelessN & wirelessG to just wirelessG (11G), my ipad would connect normally.

Clearly this is only a workaround but it worked for me.

I have also noticed that now it has connected at wirelessG (54MB) I have been able to put the router back to mixed mode and it still works. This leads me to believe that Apple have created a bug that stops the iPad on ios6 connecting to a wirelessN network

Good luck

I am happily replying to you on my iPad 2 with ios6
